Sample Quote from Skull of the Robot

About six months ago I found the old “Skull of the Robot” tapes. I contacted the reader, my buddy Scott Hirschberg, and asked him for permission to post his tapes of my story as a podcast. He gave me permission and replied with this quote from the story. It will give you a sense of the baroque, maximalist style:

“First I kissed Sarah, then I hugged her. Then I felt so good it made me feel bad so I stopped. I felt such a yen and yearning for plain simple-hearted Adam and Eve association, that I just coal-steamed myself enough gumption-pressure to untwist my tongue and spit out the Awful Truth that like black bile was filling me with shame and self-scornification.”
